Cheryl Esposito welcomes Kute Blackson, a new generation firestarter inspiring a global revolution in Consciousness. Kuteâs passion is helping you reveal your passion and live it. Raised in Ghana, the son of a revered spiritual leader, Kute is a gifted, inspirational orator. At age 8 he spoke in front of 3000 people with his father by his side. By age 18, with speaking appearances in over 300 venues, Kute was getting restless. Choosing his own way in the world rather than step into the role as his fatherâs successor, he courageously left for the U.S. with a dream to help others live their own truth. âWhat are you pretending not to know?â Kute asks as he takes you on a transformational journey, dares you to âpick up the instrument that is your heart & play it fully.â There is liberation in being who you are meant to be, rather than living the story that others have created about you. Whose life is it, anyway? Join Cheryl Esposito & Kute Blackson on ‘Leading Conversations‘ Friday @ 10am PST in creating your next masterpiece: YOU!
On today’s InsideOut Forum Discussion call, we continued our exploration of how much we can improve our lives by changing ourselves. The gist of the whole conversation is humanity’s tendency to blame others for our unhappiness and to give others the credit for our happiness. We have come to see that WE, along with our connection to higher consciousness, can improve our lives so much even without being able to change the “other,” or circumstances we don’t like or whatever the outside trigger might be. Join us online and share your experiences and feelings and thoughts! We welcome you!
On today’s InsideOut Forum Discussion call we explored the topic of what secrets we are keeping from others and even from ourselves. It was painful and sometimes entertaining to see how much we have in common, one more time! Many of us could relate to keeping the secret that we feel entitled to indulge ourselves if we work hard. Another secret some kept is that we are stronger  or less overwhelmed than we want you to think, so you won’t ask more of me. Or, some of us are keeping our passion hidden, the passion for consciousness, the passion our work or for relationships or our own lives. Join us in the conversation and share your secrets!
As the holidays are upon us, Joan and Janet talk about the energies of gratitude and appreciation from the perspective of Consciousness. With all the changes going on, sometimes illness can be an outcome. Â You can notice what’s hidden beneath the symptoms. Â It’s important to be in the present moment, in communication with your body, and taking time for self care. Â Being in heart space makes it all easier as life gets busy.
Believe it. Every one has greatness inside of them.
Whether we recognize it at the surface level of our thoughts, we somehow connect with this truth at a subconscious level and that is why I believe so many people enjoy superhero movies. We want to believe that we have the power of infinite potential. We want to be hopeful and have the curiosity of a child. When we were little, the world seemed to be our oyster where everything was possible. Somewhere inside of us, we still want to find a way to rekindle this magic and use pixie dust to let our dreams soar without boundaries. There was a time when we dreamed of being an astronaut, a ballerina, a firefighter or whatever else our heart and mind desired. We didn’t put limits on our dreams.
That came later. Maybe for some it happened far too early. In my opinion, the fact that it happens at all is wrong. It is time to change the course of past conditioning when parents, siblings, relatives, teachers or friends told you to pack away your silly dreams for something more practical and realistic. After all, who are you to have big dreams?
When people tell you that you can’t or shouldn’t do something related to pursuing a dream or a big goal, it really isn’t about YOU. It is about THEM. They are operating from their state of consciousness. They are projecting their fears and insecurities on you. Whether or not they are coming from a place of true caring, they are blocked by the concept of what could fail if you went for your dream and what they fear for themselves and you if that happened. Perhaps they believe it is easier to stay in the same unhappy place while still somehow secretly hoping for a different outcome. To me, this is the definition of insanity.
So what can you do to address naysayers and Negative Nellies?
1) Choose wisely who you share your dreams with and who you ask to provide feedback. Ensure that it is someone you trust and respect. Your dream needs to be nourished and protected. Share it with those that will help you cradle it until it becomes your reality. Pick at least one person who you know will encourage you honestly in positive, practical ways.
2) Listen selectively. People will offer their opinion freely even if you haven’t asked for input. I know that I’m not one who should be offering advice on car repair and therefore I shouldn’t try to help someone fix their car. Others offer opinions even if they are out of their league or depth of expertise. Should you take their comments to heart? Give them the attention they deserve based on how you feel about the person, how much you respect and trust their opinion and their knowledge on the subject.
What can you do to start move beyond past conditioning and start breathing life into a goal that you’ve kept at bay for too long?
1) Use positive affirmations. Believe that you are enough and you have the power and the potential to make what you want happen. With the Law of Attraction, like attracts like.
2) Consider your thoughts. Are they nourishing or harmful? Ask yourself, “Would I speak to my friends the way I speak (think) to myself?” Chances are that you would be more forgiving and understanding of your friends. It is time to do the same for yourself by exercising more self compassion.
3) Meditate daily. When you spend time going to a place of stillness, you connect with your true Self. Meditation has many benefits and in this scenario, you give yourself the gift of greater awareness, intuition and creativity to fuel your purpose, passion, and the processes you need to bring your dream to life.

Another Monday has rolled around. Here in the comfort of a life not filled with strife and mayhem lurking and survival questionable I can notice Mondays. Some of you may not have that luxury. Your attention is elsewhere.
For some there is probably comfort in their Monday routines. And, then again, there may be discomfort or boredom in having those routines. For some who maybe travel a great deal and donât know where there are from one Monday to the next maybe that is comforting. For those retired, who follow no set schedule they may enjoy the freedom of no routine and their new routine is to have no routine. Or, maybe to miss the old routine.
There are a myriad of ways to experience Mondays. How do you experience your Mondays? Are they fresh starts to the week of routines or they a way to celebrate life? If you take the judgments out of the equation and question, they are only ways that Consciousness experiences itself in many different ways on Monday. The question might be âDoes Consciousness as you experience something different on Tuesday or Wednesday or any other day of the week, the month, the year, the lifetime?â
Where do you start your week? What is you baseline when your eyes open? Is there joy in awakening, before the radio alarm goes off or is it something else you feel? When your conscious mind engages and gets you up and out of bed and into your routine of the day, are you celebrating? Donât judge but just notice. Do you take a moment to experience a sense of well being at any point? Does it take two rounds of the snooze button, the light in the bathroom going on, the sounds of the rest of the house and neighborhood chiming in and your coffee before the well being is present? How have you conditioned your self to meet the day? Routine can be reassuring and can be grinding also.
What if you changed your expectations a bit? What if you woke up and felt good? What if the twinges of the body were only that, just a twinge of memory of before you did something and after you did something, colliding, and could be reset? The dreams and nightmares of the night before only ways to work out the puzzles in life? What if your emotional terrain was clear and connected and where you started your day from? That is the routine I would like to embrace more than not. I am working at it. I am playing at letting go of the things that I think define me upon waking and challenging myself to question all, assume nothing. If every day started that way, what would I be free to see and experience new? It is not the coffee that gets me going, it is not the fear that I will be late to work, or even the need to get the others in the house going. It is only my heart, willing to beat another moment in joyous contemplation of another beat and appreciation of all the beats before and that might be in my future. That is the routine I look I embrace. My willingness to look at what says otherwise is my routine of curiosity, questioning, engaging, evolving.
I donât want to wake up every morning feeling the same old stuff if I donât have to. I want to feel something new and different no matter what it might be. I canât couch it in only feel good if I am in fear of not feeling good. It has to come from within a space of âFeeling is good and feeling good is even better. And I will feel many things and it is all part of the whole of being and feeling. All of it is life.â
Take a moment to notice what it is you feel upon waking. Let it be okay and then let it be only a starting point. Take the moments to go through what is possible in that day if wonder and delight were real and available. Find that state and invite it in if it is out there somewhere. Then get up and start your day.

Dead People, Non-Physical Entities, Devas and Saints ©2014 Joan Newcomb
The “veil is thinner” during the holidays, but it seems like it’s been nearly transparent for several months. I think this has to do with another shift in Consciousness, so everyone is experiencing heightened sensitivity.
The good thing about this is that it’s even easier now to connect with people who have passed. So if you’ve been thinking about deceased loved ones, smile and say hello.
Talking to someone who has died is easy, they’re just harder to hear. Dead people communicate through thoughts, impressions, feelings, symbology and synchronicity. Things and situations will remind you of them.
A way to validate the conversation is to write down what you think they’re trying to tell you. When you read it over, you’ll realize that you couldn’t possibly have made it up. Do this in a playful way, because effort, seriousness, and heavy emotions interfere with connecting on a higher vibration.
Non-physical entities are just beings who don’t have bodies, some may never have had bodies. People call them guides, angels, devas. They embody qualities. Saints happen to have been alive once, and were canonized by the Catholic Church because they’d done something miraculous. Saints embody qualities as well. If you want something and don’t feel direct access to it from Consciousness, communicating with an angel, saint or deva can help you have it.
Devas can even get created by collective focus. Businesses have overlighting devas.. You can improve your work by communicating with your company deva. You can even have “staff meetings” with it!
Countries have devas as well. You can communicate with yours to get a bigger and more neutral (beyond political) perspective of what is going on with your nation.
Just because you can’t see them, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. And just because they’re invisible, doesn’t mean they’re more powerful than you. Everyone has authority over their own space. You are always at choice.
Play with all this over the next 7 days and see what happens!
Rev. Joan M. Newcomb is the co-host of Conscious Conversations with Joan and Janet on VoiceAmerica’s 7th Wave on Wednesdays at 3pm PT, 6pm ET, 11pm UTC.
Been seeing dead people here and there. Celebrating Halloween here in the US or Day of the Dead in other countries certainly sets a tone. So do people dying in strife and carnage in other places around the globe. Some of us deal a lot with dead people and some not so much.
We are noticing in group, clients and in my own life, about energies that were living and no longer holding human form. It has been about serving as witness to life passing, life needing recognition and influences present without individual awareness. All of it, energies with some sort of form and distinction now or at one time and loose, sometimes lost, sometimes still with something to say or still creating influence unwanted. We served as witness, offered direction, validating having been, releasing the trapped within, and showing no fear or feeling the fear and being okay with it. Some of us work big fields of references and serve as portals to certain kinds of energies to interact once again on planet earth. Some of us serve as touchstones for groups of population of the past.
In terms of consciousness all is okay and has place and perhaps meaning. Since we get to decide the meaning it can feel good or bad, wanted or unwanted and everything in between. If you donât judge it, let it be neutral in influence and experience it is just energies circulating in disembodied states affecting embodied states. Sometimes it can be a projection of energy with a recognizable presence or just a sense of something. Whatever, often the holidays and family gatherings seem to present a thinning of the veil between here and there. Many of us can feel the comfort of a loved one who has passed and then there can be the discomfort of unhappy energies present in a location. All allow us to be aware of how we relate to the unseen forces at play. Current media can create all kinds of responses in us to what we canât see or explain. Not all of it is helpful and actually serve as powerful fear generators.
Consciousness allows for all. It does not judge, it does not limit. Over the years I have been fortunate to experience many different ways life can be sensed. I tend to not judge it as who am I to say what is or is not, knowing that that is for each of us to dance with. If there is no time, no space in the multidimensional realities of the All, I am only looking at how it is all playing with me and what I want to do in response.
Maybe you too can talk with dead people. Maybe you are comfortable with that awareness or not. Whatever the case may be, let it be okay. Take the time to use your Consciousness technologies skill sets or what you know or have learned listening to our show and drop into heart space. Information can show up in any form at any time. Let what shows up be useful even if you think it might not be. Play. Allow your experiences and awareness of energies to show up as guides, angels, dogs, a big daisy face, your grandmother, gremlins, whatever works for you.
Ask the question âif I could have some help here….â Who would show up? Play accordingly.
Ask the question â If I could help someone here….â Who would show up? Play accordingly.
Wisdom may be revealed, solace offered, connection reestablished, fears met and replaced with clarity. Whatever shows up is okay. Because that is what heart space is all about. It is a place of grace, offering warmth, support, non judgment. Many energies are not familiar with that state. It will invite the curious, the threatened, those who are threatened by grace, etc. etc. etc., depending on how you embrace life. The key is to be in heart space and not your emotional heart or mind which will have a personal investment or judgment.

Transcending Fear ©2014 Joan M Newcomb
Two of my friends just returned from the East Coast. One stayed in a cabin in New York that was over 100 years old, another stayed in a similar place in Vermont, that I think was even older.
What life must have been like back then. No electricity, no running water. No neighbors for miles. You could possibly go without seeing another person for months. A letter could take even longer to reach you. New traveled slowly.
Even though people lived in survival then, your primary focus was growing, making, or getting enough food to sustain you, staying safe from animals or outlaws, there was time for reading, reflection, creative arts.
Now we take so much for granted, a roof over our heads, groceries in our fridge, it seems we have to artificially manufacture things to freak us out. We like thriller movies and amusement park rides that make us scream.
Faux News doesnât really communicate current events, it uses language and distorted ideas to transmit fear.
When I look at this energetically, I see the energy of fear pulling the focus away from Consciousness and towards form. Really, itâs survival energy. It looks like the original intent is to remind folks to take care of physical needs, to not get so caught up in prayer and meditation (things that connect you to Spirit) that you forget to eat and sleep.
Itâs distorted now in that it disconnects you from your higher awareness, so that youâre running in circles thinking youâre gonna die.
The irony is that, disconnect from Spirit, you do feel like youâre dying. When spirit leaves the body, what happens to body?
With the energy of survival moving into form, towards density, and the energy of Consciousness moving towards Source, it may seem like conflict. But itâs actually in harmony. Breathing in, breathing out, moving in, moving up. Except itâs happening simultaneously. Kinda like the circular breathing needed for bagpipes or didgeridoos.
When we go through growth periods, it can feel like we are dying. We are expanding in our awareness, we are growing as Consciousness. But our limitations are disintegrating. Aspects of our personality are passing away.
As we are gaining in expansiveness, we can still stay connected to our bodies. We can assure them with comfort and affection. We can give them naps, bubble baths, chocolate⦠we are not abandoning the physical realm, we are taking our body/personality vehicles along with us in this adventure.
Perhaps fear isnât to be transcended but transmuted. The energy of survival can produce creativity and abundance. Embrace it, take ownership of it. Navigate itâs white water with the seniority and skill as the magnificent, all knowing, Conscious Being that you are.
