It is said that education begins in the home and that has never been more important than it is today in the midst of the most historic global pandemic of our lifetime. Historically, Coronavirus deaths will pass 250,000 any day now in the U.S. alone. What are we doing about it? Not enough, according to Sharon Kleyne, founder of Bio Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science®, a research center in southern Oregon focused water technology research and evaporation of the body and the atmosphere.

“We are in an historic life-and-death struggle,” warns Kleyne, “to educate people about why they need to mask up in public.” Citing Dr. David T.W. Wong of UCLA, Kleyne teaches that the average person produces the equivalent of one soda cans of spit a day. Wow! That is a lot of spit!

That saliva (spit) travels into the atmosphere, mostly as tiny particles you can’t see. It travels on the airwaves and can enter the oral and nasal cavities, infecting people with COVID-19. That spit can also enter the organ of the eye, infecting people in that way, too.

Scientists from around the world have proved that wearing masks reduces the risk if infecting others or being infected by others by 80 percent. That is a huge advantage when fighting a pandemic like the one we’re battling now.

Yet, everyone, except for those with bona fide respiratory conditions that prohibit mask-wearing, needs to be on board. Don’t be one of those uneducated people on the wrong side of history that walks into a store or business without a mask on. That person is a potential super spreader, someone who might infect 30 or more people. Common sense tells us that no one wants to be that kind of person. Learn the facts about mask-wearing and share them with children and other adults. We call need to come together in this fight or more and more people will get sick and some will needlessly die.

“Wearing masks in public places is not optional,” says Kleyne. “We are all tired and want the virus to go away along with the masks, but the only way we’re going to do that is to knuckle down and wear masks for the next four-to-six months. It’s common sense. There is no better way to break the back of Coronavirus than donning a mask every time you have to be in a crowded space, store, school or business.”

Kleyne also teaches that the body is mostly water and needs to be replenished daily with fresh water in order to develop and maintain immunity strength against virus, disease and infection. People should be drinking between 8-10 glasses of fresh water every day for immunity strength protection and children must receive the education that talks about the importance of drinking water for immunity strength.

“We must reopen the schools!” says Global Health Olympics™ lifestyle founder Kleyne. “Children are overeating stuck at home. They’re depressed and anxious. They miss playing with their friends and interacting in person with teachers and other people. Kids need to get back to being outdoors playing at recess, playing sports, while older kids need to be practicing their social skills in various school activities such as student council, music, sports, debate, pep clubs, student committees, dances and assemblies with exciting, well known and inspiring guest speakers. None of this can be duplicated at home.

“Because they are stuck at home,” Kleyne continues, “parents must deal with added stress, and incidents of alcoholism, drug use and physical abuse have skyrocketed. Getting kids back to school will free up many parents to get back to work so they can put food on their kitchen tables. But,” Kleyne reminds us, “we must prepare children by teaching them the proper hygiene habits they will have to follow from now on.”

These habits include washing the hands several times a day, learning to avoid touching the face (no eye scratching or nose picking!) and washing the face day and night with a washrag. It is important to teach kids that their complexions must be cleansed of harmful toxins.

Kleyne wants children to learn that they must wear their masks with pride because to do so protects others from possibly catching the virus, which is usually transmitted through the air we breathe. Wearing the mask is non-negotiable if we want to get on top of COVID-19. “Children must also learn how to clean their masks, or discard them regularly. Why? Because one’s spit accumulates in the mask and that spit can be contagious. Cloth masks must be washed with disinfectant. Kids must learn how to do this and why they’re doing it.

Kleyne also teaches children to drink lots of water every day. “Water is the source of life,” says internationally respected water and water evaporation researcher Kleyne. “Without water, there would be no life on this planet. The moment we are born,” Kleyne reveals, “we begin a process of evaporation that continues to the end of life. We need to teach children that they must drink at least 8-10 glasses of pure water every day to maintain their immunity strength protection.”
