Scott Alexander: Mental Wellness, A Choice You Can Make By Leslie Carol Botha

HolyScott Alexander Hormones Honey! Tune in for Leslie Botha’s latest Episode  “Scott Alexander: Mental Wellness- A Choice You Can Make” airing May 1st 9am Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel.

Scott Alexander spent most of his life depressed. In 2010 he lost his job, and his life, career, and identity was gone.  Devastated he spiraled into a pit of alcohol, muscle relaxers and pain meds.  He developed sleep anxiety and would toss and turn for hours.  He’d take a pill or three and chase them with vodka…praying he would sleep.  He knew he would wake up hung over and groggy, and that people would comment he looked ill…if they only knew.  His closest friends knew something was wrong, but Scott could never admit it.  He had lied about it for so long; he didn’t know how to tell them the truth.

Now Scott is 42 and feels better than he has in years.  For the past 23 months he has been taking EMPowerplus™Q96  His head is clear, the depression and anxiety have eased.  Scott’s story is not fresh or unique. It’s a story shared by millions of people who appear to be ‘happy go lucky’ while hiding their depression.  This is one man’s story. But how many of us can relate?

Welcome to Autism America 1 in 68 children Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD By Leslie Carol Botha

The Word Autism On Blank Puzzle Pieces

Holy Hormones Honey! Tune in for Leslie Botha’s latest Episode  “Welcome to Autism America 1 in 68 children Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD” airing April 10th 9am Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel.

On March 30, the CDC released its latest report on autism rates in 11 states in the U.S.  The data shows a disturbing 30% increase in ASD over the data reported in 2010. Although the CDC acknowledges ASD is on the rise, they claim to be stymied as to why while lamely citing increased ‘awareness’ and ‘misdiagnosis’.

Earlier this year, biochemist Dr. Brian Hooker created a firestorm when he revealed he obtained sensitive CDC documents through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. His analysis shows statistically significant risks of autism associated with the vaccine preservative Thimerosal (mercury), citing methodical itemized ‘misrepresentations and outright errors’ in the government’s analysis.

Hooker will reveal that the CDC is aware that pregnant women getting the flu vaccine are 8 times more likely to bear a child with neurological impairment.  And that infant exposure to vaccines increases their likelihood of developing ASD by 7.6 times. What is the government hiding and why?

Hooker has published over 50 science and engineering papers in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals. He has a son, aged 16, who developed normally but then regressed into autism after receiving Thimerosal-containing vaccines. Dr. Brian Hooker’s investigative research is sponsored by the Focus Autism Foundation, which is dedicated to informing the public about the cause(s) of the autism epidemic and the rise of chronic illnesses. Molecular Mimicry: A Trojan Horse or A False Flag? By Leslie Carol Botha

compoundsHoly Hormones Honey! Tune in for Leslie Botha’s latest Episode  “Molecular Mimicry: A Trojan Horse or A False Flag?” airing April 3rd 9am Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel.

Why is it that some people are able to defend a viral attack and others are not? Why is it that some children develop autism, or suffer a severe reaction to a vaccine – while others do not? And why do some people react to certain medications – while others have no reaction at all?   According to some researchers’ molecular mimics or snippets of protein code from foreign pathogens like bacteria, viruses and vaccines become a Trojan horse tricking the body into activating or over-activating an immune response. Molecular mimicry has been implicated in vaccine adverse reactions and in the onset of Type 1 Diabetes, Lupus, MS, neurological and other chronic diseases.  Some researchers argue that molecular mimicry abounds and other factors exist to predispose one to disease or adverse reactions. Which is it? What are those ‘other factors’?  Find out more about the interaction between molecular mimicry, healthy immune functioning and vaccine/drug adverse reactions on April 3rd.

Guest Bio: and

Chandler, Marrs PhD, founder of Hormones Matter and Lucine Health Sciences, Inc., Susan Rex Ryan, author of the award-winning Vitamin D book, Defend Your Life, and Leslie Carol Botha, co-author of ‘Understanding Your Mind, Mood and Hormone Cycle’ – share their insights, research and knowledge on how vaccines and drugs may be the Trojan horse affecting the mitochondrial health of the cells in our bodies.

Lewis Thomas in his award-winning book, The Lives of a Cell, states most eloquently, that somehow we have gotten the concept of disease and death all wrong. He states that viruses and pathogens in the body were designed to live in symbiotic harmony and that it would take many years before they develop an antagonistic predatory relationship. What has happened? Are our bodies the new Armageddon?

Sweetening the Pill book_coverHoly Hormones Honey! Tune in for Leslie Botha’s latest Episode  “Holly Grigg Spall: What’s in Your Depo?” airing Thursday March 13th 9am Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel.

The Economist named the Pill one of the “Seven Wonders of the Modern World.” Now, it’s part of the lives of 10.5 million American women.

But how much do we know about the effects of synthetic hormones on our bodies?  According to Holly Grigg-Spall author of Sweetening the Pill or How We Became Hooked on Hormonal Birth Control, “What we don’t know about our bodies helps pharmaceutical companies ‘sell’ their contraceptive drugs, and keeps us ‘addicted’ to them.”

The birth control injection, Depo is prescribed more so to teen girls than any other demographic.  How many are aware the method should not be used as a long-term birth control (longer than two years) and only if other methods are inadequate?

Or that Depo affects bone mineral density and bone loss is greater with longer use and may not be completely reversible?

Holly will share her research and discuss the controversy surrounding her book and the upcoming documentary Sweetening the Pill on Holy Hormones Honey!

Holly is now collaborating with film producers Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein to make a documentary based on Sweetening the Pill. The film will focus on the under-reported dangers of hormonal birth control and alternative options available in the wake of recent civil lawsuits over oral contraceptives Yaz and Yasmin, as well as health complaints over the NuvaRing, which have been shown to cause fatal blood clots in some women.

vitamin dHoly Hormones Honey! Tune in for Leslie Botha’s latest Episode  “A World without MS: Vitamin D’s Role ” airing March 6th 9am Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel.

March is National Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness Month. MS was identified almost 150 years ago, yet the disease still has no cure.  Over 2.5 million people around the world have been diagnosed with MS including about 400,000 Americans. Women are to 2 to 3 times more likely to develop MS than men. The number of MS cases continues to grow. Sue Ryan joins host, Leslie Carol Botha to discuss the role of Vitamin D to prevent or even treat MS.   Upon retiring from a career in Washington, D.C., in her early 50s, Sue’s health unexpectedly deteriorated. She empowered herself to find out ‘why’ by attending medical seminars and conducting research to resolve her health issues.  One of her key findings was that she was highly deficient in Vitamin D. While on her journey to better health, Sue became impassioned with the health benefits of Vitamin D. One of the health benefits supported by scientific research is vitamin D’s connection with MS.
