What is sexuality? Most people will immediately assume we are talking about engaging in a sexual act, however, sexuality is not just about sex. From birth until death, every person is a sexual being. Sexuality defines our gender and can be a complex aspect of our personality. It is how we feel about ourselves. Sexuality is not so much about what you do, but who you are. Hosts Brigitte Jia and Katie Choo interview Dr. Karen Rayne about her book, GIRL: Love, Sex, Romance, and Being You, a growing-up guide for the 21st century by Karen Rayne, PhD—a nationally recognized educator, trainer, author, and expert in sexuality education. Welcoming and inclusive of all self-identified girls, GIRL is uncensored, unbiased, and jam-packed with what today’s teenage girls want and need to know about healthy sexuality, loving relationships, and gender fluidity, as well as thornier subjects such as STI’s, consent, and sexual assault. The hosts also read The Gift of Sexuality by Cynthia Brian and Heather Brittany from the book Be the Star You Are!® for Teens and Katie gives insights about careers involving the study of sexuality.

As we celebrate the 104th birthday of Mother Teresa, it’s appropriate to broadcast a program that focuses on the wisdom of kindness.  Hosts Henna Hundal and Asya Gonzalez with reporter Ryan Sim serve up simple ways to show you care such as

·  Compliment three people.

·  Write a hand-written note.

·  Say good morning to everyone.

·  Pick up litter.

·  Place uplifting notes in library books, on restroom mirrors, on someone’s locker, or on their computer screen.

·  Dedicate 24 hours to spreading positivity on social media.

·  Hold up inspiring signs during rush hour.

·  Leave a generous tip.

·  Send flowers to a friend.

.Help a friend move or clean.

.Volunteer at a convalescent hospital

.Pamper yourself!

After a healthy dose of opportunities for acts of kindness, Henna and Asya interview ten-year-old actress, Ella Anderson, starring as Piper in the Nickelodeon series, Henry Danger. Ella began acting professionally at age five and has worked with Kurt Russell, James Franco, Vince Vaughn, and more. Her two dogs keep her kind and grounded.

Happy Monday Everyone!  What better way to start the week than some Monday Be Well Meditation Inspiration from one of the most angelic women who lived on this earth – Mother Teresa!  Forgiveness and letting go can be very powerful during the cleanse process.  In honor or Be Well Cleanse Day 18, I invite each of us to take Mother Teresa’s words to heart and to meditate on the statement that “In the end, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anway.”  We are all on a journey.  Hope you enjoy some extra peace in your life today as you make time to connect with your Maker about the things that are between you and God…anyway.
