Man Up! God’s Way

I am passionate about the work I do, the call God has on my life, AND I love watching it catch fire. I love seeing men and women from all areas of the world…Step away from that very place, and into the Spirit, into God’s arms, direction, insight, and power.

He is so good.

I watch God transform the lives of men and women, failed marriages and addictions, footholds and illnesses, confusion, anxiety, and despair…He tears down our walls, restores our foundation, and brings us back to life with the power of the Trinity, the truth of the written Word and the grace of Jesus Christ our savior.

Oh, I never imagined to be serving this way. I sometimes hardly recognize my own voice but I don’t care… I just ‘go and do’. I am just like the rest of us. We are all just doing the best we can.

And, that is what I love inspiring others to do…  To do the best you can at the life you’re living!

Something I have noticed is that men, and couples, keep coming to me for help. The first couple who came to me was lost in a web of infidelity and heartache. They were surely sent by God because KNOWING my call was to work with women, (Ha, how little we really know.) I could have easily turned them away. But, there is one question I always ask a future client…

What made you reach out to me for help?

The man answered...”I’ve tried everything but God.”

It was like God himself spoke to me and of course, I would work with them, even though, that was never my plan. So now I am getting to the point of this blog.

There are so many tools, groups, support and direction for women. My book that comes out this spring has a whole section dedicated to Godly men because I love these men and they are wanting a relationship with God just like the rest of us. Oh, how important it is to have strong Godly men in our homes, communities, and workplaces.

We have a real movement in the world today, to build up strong women and I love that…But not at the cost of our awesome men. This truly is catching fire in my heart, mind, and soul and I know I am to step in.

God is nudging me and so it goes. Last fall I began hunting for resources for the men I work with. I wanted to find a place for men to thrive, be inspired, and grow in their faith. I do a fine job with this myself, but I wanted a great place for these men to be built up by men. I am very careful to lead folks in the way God has directed, which means sticking close to the written Word. Finding a place for men that matched this was not easy. There are some awesome podcasts and individuals to follow but I wanted more.

I wanted a community that leads men, God’s way. That is when I found Pastor Jody Burkeen. His story is passionate and real. God has taken hold of his life and he is… (right off his website)

Wanting men to stand up to the challenge God has laid out before them in His Holy Word.

I share this with you all for two reasons. First, I wanted you to know who Jody is, to look for him on my talk show this coming Wednesday, February 13, and to be watching for future events. We’re planning a joint speaking event which has given me a burning fire to ignite the souls of men and women…..To Live, Love, Learn, and Lead God’s way. There will be more on that to follow.

For now, my second hope is that you’ll go check out his facebook page and share it with others. His work is pretty awesome https://www.facebook.com/manupgodsway/  and website http://www.manupgodsway.org/  AND TUNE IN VOICE AMERICA WEDNESDAY 7 PST, 9C, 10 EST on my Niccie Kliegl, Fulfill Your Legacy Facebook page for the live stream of my talk show ‘Living Life Within the Sweet Spot”.

“It is a complete honor to have Sonya Jones as a guest on my talk show, Living Within the Sweet Spot, this week.

Sonya was the only female finalist in Season 16 of NBC’s TV show The Biggest Loser where she inspired others to carry an upbeat attitude and to live a life of determination. Sonya shares on the show several of her favorite tips straight from her soon to be released book, 44 Lessons From A Loser, coming out this fall. Find out more on Sonya at http://www.sonyajones44.com/

This episode highlighting Sonya can be found on the September 26, 2018, episode of ‘Living Within the Sweet Spot’ show, which is broadcast live every Wednesday 7AM Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel. Archives of Living Within the Sweet Spot can be found at https://www.voiceamerica.com/show/2751/living-within-the-sweet-spot.

We start of the show off with coaching on ‘never giving up’, a topic that I knew Sonya would have much to offer. She truly is the perfect guest for this show, ‘Losing To Winning”. It is clear to see that Sonya’s passion for encouraging others to achieve greatness in all areas of their life. In the second segment of the show, Sonya offers the listeners first hand advice, encouragement, and tips straight out of her new release soon to be out, 44 Lessons From A Loser. We finish the show with LIVE life coaching from the listeners.

Before Sonya’s participation on Biggest Loser, she admits to struggling with self-worth and self- confidence.  Sonya had been overweight her entire life and was determined to make a change. Sonya stood on the scale feeling embarrassed and like a hypocrite at 283 pounds in June 2014. Six months later Jones stepped onto the scale and into the hearts of millions of Americans as she dropped a whopping 144 pounds and had lost 50.88% of her body weight.

Sonya has gone on to receive Security Bank’s 2015 Women of Influence Award, was the 2015 recipient of the Greenville College Young Alumnus Award, is currently an outreach representative for Medical HSHS Group and is a certified John Maxwell speaker inspiring many across the country. To connect with Sonya go to http://www.sonyajones44.com/ You can find the below quote on her home screen which I find speaks volumes about her… simply by her quote.

It’s Time to Remove The Enemy’s Labels On Our Lives

It’s Time to Remove The Enemy’s Labels On Our Lives

Prerecording Living Within the Sweet Spot with Alex Seeley, Pastor and world changer was one of the most compelling hours of my life. Here is a taste of who she is and what she is so passionate about. Details of her new book Tailor Made, and from the heart of Alex Seeley herself…

From the moment we enter this world, we are labeled by well-meaning people who are quick to try to define us: “She’s the smart one,” “He’s so quiet,” “She’s bossy,” “He’s so lazy,” etc etc. And before we know it, those powerful words have actually taken hold, becoming part of our very personality and character.  We somehow let them define us. For years, I personally wore the label of “accident.” Believing I was unwanted by others from even before I was born, I spent years wishing I was invisible and struggled to find acceptance in all the wrong places.

My heart’s desire for my book “Tailor Made” is to articulate, reveal and explore how we can actually discover our true identity in Christ. In the book, I unpack the power of replacing the faulty and dangerous labels we’ve allowed to stick to our lives, and uncover the keys to truly flourishing and succeeding in life no matter where we came from or how difficult life has been. This is my story, it’s my community and it’s our true-life conversations and journeys – and I’m presenting our struggles and breakthroughs to explain and encourage those going through the same trials and tribulations.

It’s time to remove the enemy’s labels on our lives in order to uncover our true identities—the people God created us to be! —Alex Seeley
