Deanne DeMarco’s special guests for her high-energy radio show are two of the most high-profile businesswomen in America. Chef Christina Machamer winner of FOX‘s popular TV show, “Hell’s Kitchen,” with Chef Gordon Ramsey and 15-time Emmy Award nominated meteorologist Tammie Souza, who is seen on FOX 32 News, Chicago.

Chef Christina and Tammie join Deanne DeMarco new episode of “Today’s Inspiring Women” the uplifting and entertaining hour-long show which is sponsored by the UPS Store and airs weekly at 12 noon Pacific on the VoiceAmerica Empowerment Radio network.

Chef Christina Machamer started her culinary career at the age of sixteen working in restaurants. After winning season four of Hells Kitchen, Chef Christina was Sous Chef for Gordon Ramsey at the London West Hollywood Hotel. During that time they received their first coveted Michelin Star. It was her next job that would make her one of the most successful women in the country. Chef Christina split her time between being a Chef at one of LA’s top restaurants and studying wine through the Court of Master Sommeliers based in London. After passing the certified sommelier exam she moved to Napa Valley and is today one of the most successful female Sommeliers.

Deanne DeMarco asks Chef Christina about the early days of her career and gets her best advice for starting and succeeding in the male dominated profession of wine. Deanne, who has 20 successful years as a business coach, speech coach and keynote speaker said, “Each week I interview extraordinary and inspiring women who may not be household names but are business and entrepreneurial rising stars. For this show I’m delighted to have one of the best-known female Chefs in America share time with me and my audience.”

DeMarco said, “Chef Christina entered two male dominated professions that of being a Chef and a Sommelier. She is a true trail-blazer and has an inspiring story on how she made her dreams a reality.”

The other special guest is Tammie Souza who has been honored with 15 Emmy Award nominations and 5 Awards for Best Weathercast, Best Science Report and Live Reporting. Plus first place from the Associated Press for a report on Shipwreck Diving on a 125 year old Shipwreck. Tammie Souza is a meteorologist with Fox News-Chicago.

Tammie’s interest in weather started when she was very young. As a child her grandfather took her flying in a small plane and that led to questions about clouds, storms and wind. That curiosity led to a career as a meteorologist and a love for flying.

Tammie entered a man’s world when few women did. A lifetime of breaking personal and professional barriers was epitomized, by her being chosen as the first female chairman of the National AMS Board of Meteorology. She was also the first female Chief Meteorologist in Tampa/ St Petersburg, Fla.

DeMarco said, “I am very curious how she overcame the challenges of working in a male dominated field and what has given her the edge over her peers to be nominated so many times for an Emmy Award. Those lessons will be valuable for all of us.”

Deanne has used innovative strategies—drawn from successful experiences as a scientist, college instructor, management trainer, Fortune 500 manager, author and entrepreneur—to help business executives and individuals break through personal and career roadblocks.

Cookies-by Design founder Gwen Willhite-Gillum who has over 100 franchises nationwide and internationally acclaimed Ghostwriter / Author and former IRS Agent, Kelly Epperson are the featured guests on the next edition of Deanne DeMarco’s radio show “Today’s Inspiring Women,” which airs noon Pacific on Thursday on the VoiceAmerica Empowerment Network.

An unemployed, single mother, is the story behind one of the most successful bakery businesses with over 100 franchises nation wide and a former IRS Agent now author and ghostwriter with several New York Times best selling books.

Gwen Willhite-Gillum suddenly found herself an unemployed, single mother. With time on her hands, this creative and motivated woman combined two traditional gifts- flowers and sweets- and turned them into one deliciously clever concept, the cookie bouquet. Her edible bouquets of custom- shaped and hand-decorated sugar and cinnamon brown sugar cookies on sticks were cleverly arranged in baskets as tasteful gifts for any occasion.

Gift givers quickly embraced the new idea, and Gwen’s budding enterprise soon outgrew her home kitchen. Now, 30 years later, approximately 100 Cookies By Design locations are operating across the United States.

Deanne DeMarco, who has 20 successful years as a business coach and management trainer, said, “You can be sure I will be asking Gwen about the early days and how she went about growing her business so quickly. I will also be asking her about the early lessons learned that will help our listening audience in starting their own entrepreneurial ventures.”

“Gwen has a lot to offer our listeners,” DeMarco continued. “Gwen started from scratch, at her kitchen table and grew that business into a huge nationwide enterprise. She is someone I am anxious to learn from. I am excited that she is willing to share how she overcame challenges and started the franchise side of her business.”

Kelly works a lot with women in helping them with personal and professional development and was recognized for this work by the YWCA with their Mentorship Award. Deanne DeMarco said, “Among the questions I have for Kelly: “What are the tips entrepreneurs and business women should know in striving to be successful in their careers? Why did you leave the IRS? What is your crayon, stress-busting tip for women? And how can women learn to be more resilient and less fearful?”

Deanne DeMarco herself has used her innovative strategies—drawn from successful experiences as a scientist, college instructor, management trainer, Fortune 500 manager, author and entrepreneur—to help business executives and individuals break through personal and career roadblocks. Today’s Inspiring Women is a mentoring show for women. Each week she interviews extraordinary and inspiring women who may not yet be household names but are business and entrepreneurial rising stars. Deanne says “There are many inspiring women who have touched our lives forever. Now listeners can find out who these female business and entrepreneurial rising stars are. During each episode the listening audience will be introduced to extraordinary women who may have come from a background similar to their own.”

DeMarco states, “Each week I ask the guests, how they overcame challenges and the lessons they learned to become successful in their fields.
